Apart from the angels, Dani’s childhood was fairly uninteresting. Dani’s family was always on the edges of the magical community, most of them being without any magic, a few having smaller talents, and about one every generation having a more significant calling to one of the various planes of magic. For the first several years of his life, Dani was a bright, beautiful, strange child, who sang a lot and drew a lot and didn’t have much regard for typically boyish things. He grew up with his totally normal parents on the North Shore in Massachusetts, well off and comfortable. He didn’t start talking to angels until he was eight. It was then that all his drawings started to be of angels, his singing changed into a beautiful otherworldly style, and he started talking to seemingly thin air. Once or twice, his mother found him with a strange glow surrounding him.
Thankfully, both his parents were aware enough of the magical community that the first thing they did was call relatives who were a little more involved with magic to ask if maybe something was happening to their boy in that area. Connections were made, and an adept in the Heavenly plane of magic came to visit for a few days to talk to and observe Dani. The woman quickly determined that Dani was in fact speaking directly to angels, and moreover, they were speaking back. He was very clearly highly attuned to the Heavenly plane even at that very young age, and the woman recommended that he be sent to a school to train when he reached the right age.
Barrett-Crowley Reformatory was the obvious choice, but it would be several years before Dani was old enough to attend, so in the meantime he was tutored after school to keep an eye on his growing powers and to help him keep them somewhat in check. It wasn’t that he affected anyone else really, it was more to teach him to keep his own conversations with the angels from happening in places where people would take notice. The angels themselves taught Dani quite a lot about the heavens, about themselves, and about the powers he would likely grow into. Before he even got to BCR at 15 he’d been possessed by angels a few times, and had channeled their power at other times.
As he grew older, he started to suffer from periods of depression. At first it was only a few days to a week of sadness, but it gradually became a couple weeks of melancholy with several days of crippling depression where it was genuinely difficult to even get out of bed. This happened every couple of months, and was suspected to be a direct result of his growing power, and the cost that stemmed from its use. It’s never been formally proved, though, nor has Dani blamed his depression on his powers. It’s a thing that happens, he’s come to terms with it.
At BCR, Dani flourished, making friends and excelling in his studies. He was very good at channeling angels and controlling that power, as well as being possessed by them to do their work. He was also excellent at sacred geometry and learned to weave potent spells with his drawings, and, eventually, the tattoos he created with them. He became fast friends with Tris, Marco, and Max especially, spending lots of time with them both at school and off campus at the parties and raves they frequently attended. The only thing that ever got in the way of his studies was his depression, but his friends generally did their best to help by bringing him his homework and helping him through his worst days.
When Dani graduated, he kept in close contact with his friends even as he moved to Italy to work for the Vatican. The Church often received requests for help to deal with monsters of various kinds, especially the more tricky demons that couldn’t be exorcised by priests. There were also angels who weren’t kindly disposed to the human race and their propensity toward chaos and free will. Dani worked to fight against them all.
When Marco disappeared, it affected Dani just as deeply as it did the others, though he was more internal about his unhappiness. He had to be there for his friends to take of them, because they were falling apart. So Dani was the stable one, and when Marco came back, he was relieved just as much for his friends’ sake as he was for Marco’s.
PERSONALITY: Dani loves people, loves the world, and sees beauty in everyone and everything. Having grown up with angels speaking to him, Dani learned a lot of things from them, namely an appreciation for beauty in all its forms, an overwhelming love for everything in God’s creation, a great deal of mercy and forgiveness, and a general disregard for gender. Most of these traits were things Dani already had, but the angels encouraged it in their conversations with him.
Dani really truly loves everyone he meets, and sees the best in everyone. That being said, he won’t take any shit from anyone. When his friends do stupid things, like Max going off to raid tombs and getting into danger way over his head and ending up back at Dani’s all busted up, Dani takes care of him the best he can, berating him the whole time.
Dani tries to be as merciful and forgiving as possible, but he doesn’t go easy on people, creatures, or monsters who are trying to hurt others. He’ll do what needs to be done, if it means the safety and protection of people. He’s a paladin, basically, protecting those who need it and avenging those who’ve had injustice done to them. Unfortunately, a lot of the world wants to try to see things in terms of black and white, especially when it comes to angels and demons. But Dani is very much aware that not every angel is good, and not every demon is evil. He tries very hard to be understanding of circumstance and help others to understand as well, so that demons who are just trying to get by in the human world don't get persecuted, but angels who are trying to take away free will from humans aren't given free rein.
At his core, though, all he wants is love and cuddles and a quiet life for him and all his friends.
INCENTIVE: In the wake of Marco’s return from hell, and the realization that his friends aren’t as safe as they think they are, Dani would ask for their protection, and that none of them would ever go to hell ever again.
FIT: Dani loves touching and being touched. When I say he loves people, he sees little difference between friendship type love and romantic type love. He’ll cuddle and love on whoever will let him, and he loves feeling good, and will totally sleep with his friends once he reconnects with them. He’s keenly aware that not everyone sees the world the way he does, however, and will keep his distance until he’s sure the people he’s with are okay with his style of showing affection.

ANYTHING ELSE? Dani’s powers are going to be like 95% nerfed, since they’re highly connected to the Heavenly plane in his own world and as such wouldn’t really be applicable in Eudio. This means his connection to the Heavens, his ability to speak with and hear angels, his ability to be possessed by and channel their powers, all of that would be gone. It’ll be rough for him. However, he does have quite a lot of skill with sacred geometry, which is the method of spellcraft using geometric shapes and drawings of that nature, and if it’s okay with the mods, I’d like him to be able to still use that. He mostly uses it for tattoo work, inking spells of protection and ability enhancement into people’s skin. Generally his spells are passive like that, enhancing or protecting, but he also can create talismans to track or locate people, and he made one for Max to carry that lets him teleport back to Dani’s house whenever he likes.
